About netprobe

netprobe inspects one public target — a public IP, a hostname, an HTTP(S) URL, or an AS number — and shows the network diagnostics for it in a single page: resolved addresses, reverse DNS, ASN and routing context, RDAP registration, and ICMP reachability.

What netprobe checks

DNS resolution
Resolves a hostname or URL target to public addresses.
IPv4 and IPv6
Lists resolved public addresses by address family.
Reverse DNS
Shows available PTR names for displayed addresses.
ASN and routing
Reports ASN and routing-prefix context for the primary address.
RDAP
Shows registration data when it is available.
ICMP reachability
Reports whether the server received an ICMP echo reply.

Supported input

Enter one public target:

  • Public IPv4 address
  • Public IPv6 address
  • Hostname
  • HTTP or HTTPS URL
  • AS number (for example AS13335)

Private, local, and special-use destinations are deliberately blocked.

Privacy and limits

Use only public targets and do not submit sensitive hostnames or URLs. Results depend on public DNS, RDAP, and ICMP responses, so unavailable or blocked responses are shown as such.

netprobe does not perform port scans, vulnerability scans, or traceroute.
